Abstract

Sociologist Daniel Prokop and his colleagues have carried out extensive research into the economic impact of the pandemic on the population of the Czech Republic. 15 per cent of Czech citizens who are taking care of minors have lost at least 30 per cent of their income. In the first place, the pandemic has affected people who do not have reliable employment contracts. Statistics do not record the plight of these people. Jan Čulík discusses the details of this research with Daniel Prokop in this Britské listy Interview, which was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from Friday 18th December 2020.
