Abstract

Examines the performance and running costs of housing cooperatives in comparison to more traditionally managed housing schemes. Operational environment, annual per dwelling expenditures on housing management, repair and maintenance, the degree of personal service, demand for housing, and other aspects are all featured. Information on 21 primary cooperatives was gathered from questionnaire and structured interview surveys which formed part of a wider DoE study.
