Abstract
Is the Czech National Health Service inhumanely obsessed only with itself? Is this the reason why Czech psychiatrists cannot identify themselves with people who have been tortured, who have experienced war and persecution and are suffering from serious trauma? Why is it that the Czech psychiatric service almost never provides help for victims of torture arriving in the Czech Republic? Jan Čulík discusses this with psychiatrist Kateřina Duchoňová, who compares the situation in the Czech Republic with her international experiences. The interview was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from 17th July 2020.
