Abstract

At the beginning of 2020, Czech internal politics is dominated by the issue of the Czech Prime Minister, the oligarch Andrej Babiš, who is being investigated by the European Union for illegally abusing EU subsidies for his giant firm Agrofert. Jan Čulík discusses the possible developments in this case and Czech politics in general, as it might develop in 2020, with the well-known Czech politican scientist and Head of the Prague branch of New York University Professor Jiří Pehe. The interview was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from 3rd January 2020.
