Abstract
This is a 20 minute excerpt from a 90-minute public debate about 30th anniversary of the fall of communism in Central Europe. Professor Jiří Pehe, fiction writer and the director of New York University, Prague and former top advisor to Czech President Václav Havel and his translator Gerald Turner discuss their experiences of November 1989 in the context of contemporary developments in Central Europe. Jan Čulík is the interviewer. The event took place at the University of Glasgow, Scotland on Wednesday 13th November, 2019.
