Abstract
In August 2015, in cooperation with the Scottish Church History Society, a conference was held on ‘The History of Scottish Episcopacy’ at St Mungo’s Museum of Religious Life and Art in Glasgow. The items in this volume of the Records, the last to be independently published by the Scottish Church History Society, represent some of the contributions delivered at that event and form the first volume on the history of the Scottish Episcopal Church since Gavin White’s monograph, The Scottish Episcopal Church: A New History (1998). The present volume takes broad chronological, methodological and geographical approaches. It is intended to highlight recent innovative and ground-breaking scholarship and inspire continued work on this important Scottish religious tradition.
