Abstract

In this Christmas 2017 edition of Britské listy interviews, Jan Čulík talks to Zbyněk Unčovský (87) in the John Baptist Church in the town of Bystré in the Czech-Moravian Highlands about the filming of Czech director Vojtěch Jasný´s classic feature film Všichni dobří rodáci (All my Good Countrymen, 1968), which deals with Stalinist oppression in Czech villages in the 1950s. Mr. Unčovský was present when the film was being made in Bystré and his father, an amateur actor and theatre director, participated in the production and was given a cameo role in the film. The interview was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from 22nd December 2017.
