Abstract

When undertaking surgical procedures on the limbs, the use of peripheral nerves blocks can be beneficial for both patient and veterinary surgeon. Nerves blocks using local anaesthetics promote smooth anaesthesia and better recoveries, and contribute to multimodal analgesia. This article discusses the commonly used techniques to provide local analgesia of the limbs in small animals.
