Abstract

A direct method for analysing noise in log-domain filters is proposed which exploits simplifying assumptions such as neglecting higher order noise terms, linearity in the current domain, the translinear principle and time-averaging. All noise sources are treated in situ, without the need to refer any to either the input or output. The results are compared to SpectreRF periodic noise simulations.
