Abstract

With regard to a 2017 production of Mieczysław Weinberg's opera 'The Passenger' (1968), and drawing on Primo Levi's writings on testimony, this article explores the opera's libretto against the background of recent changes in Holocaust memory, namely the dying of surviving witnesses.
