Abstract

The structure of grimaldone, a tricyclic sesquiterpenoid from the liverwort Mannia fragrans, has been established by crystal structure analysis. Its absolute configuration was assigned by comparison of its CD spectrum with that of (+)-S-α-cuparenone.
