Abstract

The liverwort Plagiochasma rupestre (J.R. Forst. & G. Forst.) Steph. contains the novel compounds elema-1,4(15),11-trien-3,14-olide (1) and elema-1,4(15),11-trien-3-al (2) in addition to the known longipinane sesquiterpenoid marsupellone (3), the hopane triterpenoid α-zeorin (4) and the flavonoid apigenin 4',7-dimethyl ether (5).
