Abstract

We consider a problem of simulating a viscous incompressible fluid flow past a rotating cylinder in the region of critical Reynolds numbers as well as the simulation of separated bubbles in the boundary layer and the reverse Magnus effect. The Fluent 12 software is used for numerical simulation. The transition k-kl-ω model of turbulence makes it possible to consider the laminarturbulent flow regime transition.
