Abstract

21st January 2017 was the twentieth anniversary of the Czech-German declaration, which was signed in 1997 by the then Czech Prime Minister Václav Klaus and the then German Chancellor Helmut Kohl. The aim of the declaration was to regularise Czech-German relations. Twenty years after the signing of this document, Jan Čulík talks to František Řezáč, an activist from the West Bohemian town of Pilsen about intense cross-border cooperation between the frontier districts of Czech Republic and Germany and of their citizens. The interview was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Regionálnítelevize.cz from 3rd February 2017.
