Abstract
The project presents cumulatively my research on 19th century artist, author and suffrage campaigner, Louise Jopling (1843-1933). It centres on an oeuvre catalogue (over 800 artworks so far), but also includes substantial primary resource material. Published online as a work in progress, its scope has been enlarged via a crowd-sourcing model through which users contribute (moderated) research content. Current work focuses upon creating a digital framework to stimulate new and interdisciplinary scholarly readings of Victorian culture and gender politics whilst also engaging the interest of non-specialists.
