Abstract
How many teachers are greeted every morning with a bowl full of raw meat, served with "bread" that requires a three-month burial period to be fully prepared and bears close resemblance to a pencil eraser in colour, texture and taste? Washed down with coffee freshly roasted over a charcoal fire, brewed in an ornate clay jug, fit only for the most discerning of caffeine addicts? Eaten in a thatched, wooden staffroom that must be carefully checked, each day, for snakes?
