Abstract
A text commissioned by curators Sorcha Dallas and Jenny Crowe for 'A New Path', their project on publicly-sited artworks in Glasgow. The text considers Christine Borland's work in relation to Foucault's analysis of the beginnings of modern anatomy and the way that the gaze of knowledge enters into a new relationship with death via the practice of dissection.
