Abstract
We consider surplus-sharing problems where both the disagreement utility vector and the feasible utility frontier depend monotonically on an exogenous parameter. We investigate the existence of a monotonic solution to these problems. The two-person case is completely solved. Applications to the cases where the feasible utility set varies in a submodular or supermodular fashion are detailed. With three agents or more a general characterization result is proven in the transferable utility case only.
