Abstract

This article discusses the background, methodology and findings of an investigation into the perception of creativity by music teachers in secondary schools in England. The paper focuses on the educational implications relating to curriculum development and teacher training. The findings highlight the importance of time and resources in implementing curriculum guides on musical creativity. Finally, some strategies to optimize the training of teachers are suggested.
