Abstract
This study explored secondary school teachers' perceptions of creativity in music education. An innovative methodology incorporating the use of video recordings facilitated the elucidation of the participants' understandings of the term 'creativity'. After a short explanation of the phases of the study, it is observed that the concept of creativity has great complexity and different connotations. Four main themes would need to be taken into account when working with musical creativity in the classroom: Pupil, Environment, Process and Product. In the second half of the paper the differences between the teachers' perceptions and the literature are outlined and some practical implications suggested. (Original in Spanish)
