Abstract

GAPTUTOR is an interactive tutorial package which provides an introduction to neural signal analysis techniques and the use of associated analysis software. One important feature of the tutorial package is an interactive simulation facility which allows data files with known properties to to be created and used as input to the analysis programs. This feature allows the user of the tutorial package to gain experience with the use of the analysis techniques in well-understood and relatively well-defined situations prior to attempting to apply them to experimental data.
