Abstract
Research was carried out into existing methods of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for photovoltaic systems. This paper compares existing approaches to maximum power point tracking and presents a new learning-based technique which exceeds the performance of existing methods. <p/>Simulation and experimental results are presented which indicate that the new algorithm offers benefits over other methods described.
