Abstract
This is a research article dealing with the methodology of comparing cultural patterns in different societies. The methodology is then used for an analysis of a Czech popular film series (Kamenak 1, 2 and 3). The article is the result of a preliminary research project prior to the launching of a major international research project by the University of South Bohemia, Czech Republic, in which the author of the article is one of the investigators.
