Abstract
Major work undertaken by Glasgow Univesrity Archaeologists has shed light on an enigmatic era - the so-called Age of Arthur. Tintagel epitomises the struggle between myth and reality. New excavations have shown the site to be much more extensive that previously thought, and considerable assemblages of imported ceramics from the Mediterranean region, as well as glass have been discovered.
