Abstract

The observed interplanetary scintillation index at 81.5 MHz of the supernova remnant Cassiopeia A is compared with calculations based on various models of the spectrum of diffractive turbulence in the medium. The observations are best understood in terms of a power-law model, with an index ≥ 11/3 on scales > 100 km.
