Abstract

A paper presented at the ICOM-CC Triennial Meeting in 1999 explored the shared teaching and learning concepts and interlinked units of the MA Textile Conservation and the MA Museum Studies programmes at the Textile Conservation Centre, University of Southampton. This paper reviews changes and developments in the context of rapidly evolving academic and professional environments. A survey of graduates demonstrated that the shared learning has been beneficial to them professionally and academically, by helping them to understand the perspective of other professionals in the heritage field.
