Abstract

Wavelength conversion of a 100 Gbit/s optical time division multiplexer signal has been achieved using four wave mixing (FWM) in a 2 mm multiquantum well semiconductor optical amplifier and a Bragg fibre grating for filtering. Error free operation of all 10 channels was achieved with low power penalties
