Abstract

The crystallization of magnetooptic iron garnets Y<sup>3</sup>Fe<sup>5</sup>O<sup>12</sup>(YIG) and Ce<sup>1</sup>Y<sup>2</sup>Fe<sup>5</sup>O<sup>12</sup>(Ce-YIG) in thin films has been investigated. The parasitic phases were shown to have a negative impact on the crystalline structure.
