Abstract

We're at war. It's an emergency. The Czech Republic has an inflation rate of 16%, and the population of the whole of Europe is suffering drastic increases in food and energy prices. What is the current right-of-centre Czech government doing? Not much. What are the implications? Jan Čulík discusses this with political analyst Professor Jiří Pehe of New York University. This interview was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from Tuesday 14 June 2022.
