Abstract

"When I calculate how many people in the 60-69 years of age category are lying in ICUs, it is 47 unvaccinated people per 100 000 and 4,7 vaccinated people per 100 000. There is a tenfold difference. The difference is even bigger in the younger cohorts." In an interview with Jan Čulík about the ongoing pandemic in the Czech Republic, mathematician and economist René Levínský reveals some remarkable statistics. And how should we be trying to persuade the antivaxxers that they should not allow the natural world to eliminate them from the planet? According to Levínský, this is a task for civic society. Representatives of grassroots civic organisations must go and talk to ordinary people. This interview was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from 3rd December 2021.
