Abstract

Avoid the infection and have yourselves inoculated by all the three vaccines as soon as possible, the vaccines do consist of three elements, says the biochemist Professor Jan Konvalinka, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Charles University in Prague for science and research. Professor Konvalinka talks to Jan Čulík about the most important aspects of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in the Czech Republic, the impact of which is extremely serious. If you are infected by covid, there is a 2 per cent probability that you will die, which is fairly high. We know very little about omicron yet, if it turned out that its pathogenic features are milder than those of the delta variant, it would be good news. Further information should be available within three weeks or so. This interview was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from 30th November 2021.
