Abstract

The Czech government publishes information about how many vaccinated and unvaccinated people have now been hospitalised. However, it does not say WHEN they were vaccinated. Those people who were vaccinated more than six months ago should be now placed in the category of unvaccinated people because their immunity has waned since the inoculation. It is extremely important for older people to be vaccinated with the third, booster dose now because 70-year-olds lose much of their immunity three months after vaccination. As early as last spring Czech molecular biologists offered the Czech government quickly to test the whole Czech population using PCR tests. The Czech Health Ministry has not taken up this offer, although this is done in China, which has successfully curbed the pandemic. If such nationwide PCR tests were done twice or three times within a week, the pandemic wave would be stopped. Jan Čulík talks to the well-known Czech evolutionary biologist Professor Jaroslav Flegr about the catastrophic pandemic situation in the Czech Republic, The interview was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from Friday 19th November 2021.
