Abstract
Looking at art and artefact with Dr Philip Tonner, Lecturer in Education at Glasgow University, exploring each selected piece through the prism of Heidegger, and in context of memory and experience. A challenging discussion, not least because of the deeper issues arising from historical narratives, but also in bridging the gap between the language of academic scholarliness and empathic artist! Thank you to Philip for generously giving me his time, and challenging me to think beyond expected and familiar ideas.
