Abstract
The new labyrinth sealing displacers have been designed and optimized for improving the cooling performance, the operating stability as well as the life-time of the two-stage G-M refrigerator. The geometries that influencing the performance of the labyrinth sealing displacers, including the shape and quantity of the groove, the material of the displacer, and the regenerator packing method were experimentally tested and analyzed. The experimental measurements indicated that among these factors, the quantity of the groove and the material of the displacer were critical to improve the performance of the labyrinth sealing for the two-stage 10 K G-M refrigerator.
