Abstract

Shortly after the general election in the Czech Republic, which took place on 8th and 9th October 2021, Czech President Zeman was taken into hospital in an unconscious state. Yet it is the President who is supposed to appoint the winner of the election giving him the task of appointing a new government. Quite outrageously, the Czech Presidential office has been suppressing information about the state of health of the president and there is even suspicion that it has recently published various documents with a faked Presidential signature. In the general election, the current government of the oligarch Andrej Babis lost and it will be replaced by a right of centre coalition. Jan Čulík, Albín Sybera and Bohumil Kartous, the three Britské listy editors, discuss these momentous events in this Britské listy interview, which was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station from 22nd October 2021.
