Abstract
A composition for shakuhachi, koto, sho and electronics, this work was developed in collaboration with members of the ensemble Okeanos (Clive Bell - shakuhachi, Melissa Holding - koto, Robin Thomson - sho). It was made for and premiered at the Sound and Music Cutting Edge series, The Warehouse, London in November 2009. The work has a basic text "score" which summarises a collaborative process that took place between these particular musicians, and an MaxMSP patch which enables a laptop performer to play live sound manipulations.
