Abstract
Everyone knows that almost a million people, 10 per cent of the population, are victims of debt slavery in the Czech Republic. But it would appear that the system does not terrorise only poor people, it also terrorises businessmen. In a conversation with Jan Čulík, Albín Sybera explains the "shark principle" which operates in business in the Czech Republic. Some banks and some large firms specialise in carrying out a long term strategy of liquidating businesses, especially those that have taken out bank loans. This strategy brings firms to bankruptcy, so that the sharks can then taken them over without incurring any costs. This Britské listy Interview was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from 27th August, 2021.
