Abstract
On New Year's Day, Britské listy journalists Jan Čulík and Bohumil Kartous looked back at 2020 and also looked forward to what might be happening in the Czech Republic in the current pandemicin the forthcoming months. Solidarity and social cohesion is needed. It all depends on the society's elites to join together and to tell the public clearly and convincingly what to do at this moment. Without adhering to the antipandemic measures and without fast and systematic vaccination many more people will die. It is vital to fight against online disinformation. The pandemic is NOT a hoax. The interview was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz on 1st January 2021.
