Abstract
A paper revealing the advantages and disadvantages of one of the communicative language teaching methods, Dogme, which is based on teaching a language without teaching aids and materials. Dogme’s HOW of language teaching methodology is humanistic and student-centred but it has particular impact in the change of focus on WHAT is learned in the language classroom.
