Abstract

What is it to be human? Some would say 'the proper study of man is man', and yet as Christians we believe humans were and continue to be made in the image of God. The Dynamics of Human Life examines truths about human life, and engages with current understandings of what it is to be human, with contributions from prominent scholars and theologians across the fields, this unashamedly theological book examines the human entity in anthropological, economical, ethical and humanitarian perspectives. Emerging From the debate Elliott compares traditional accounts of anthropology with notions of 'the image of God', 'original sin', and 'the restoration of the image in Christ', this wide-ranging book takes a fresh look at what it truly is to be human.
