Abstract

This paper outlines a new approach to emulation based parameter inference in a cardiac mechanic model of the left ventricle (LV) of the heart that allows for prediction uncertainty to be accounted for. The emulation is performed using Gaussian processes, which are designed to build on the results of previous research in this area. This approach yields more accurate parameter estimates than previously reported in the literature.
