Abstract

Are stereotypical, mythological ideas about their own national past preventing the Czechs from understanding their history and their current situation? Why do the Czechs not have a tradition of geopolitical thinking and what can be done about this? These are the topics that Jan Čulík discusses with Czech political scientist Václav Žák, in the light of the recent controversy connected with the scandalous attacks against the Czech historian and the Dean of the Arts Faculty at Prague's Charles University Michael Pullmann. The interview was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from 29th July 2020.
