Abstract

This interview is in English. What does the victory of Andrzej Duda mean for Poland and for Europe? Jan Čulík and the Britské listy expert on Poland Tomasz Oryński look at the reasons why so many Polish voters voted for the populist Law and Justice Party incumbent Andrzej Duda in the second round of the Polish presidential election on Sunday 12th July. They also discuss the general atmosphere in Poland during the election campaign and consider what Duda's victory might mean for Poland and Europe in the future. The interview was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from Wednesday 15th July 2020.
