Abstract
"'Britain can be great again after Brexit.' I laugh out loud. For those of us who have experienced various occupations, the European Union is an instrument to defend our freedom," says the 87-year old Czech Honorary Consul in Edinburgh Dr. Paul Millar. Jan Čulík talks to him about UK Brexit politics, of which Dr. Millar is justifiably horrified, and also about his personal experiences with various Czech presidents, including President-Philosopher Václav Havel, the economist Václav Klaus Senior and Miloš Zeman. The interview was broadcast on the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from Friday 29th May 2020.
