Abstract

The mainstream media in the Czech Republic are currently obsessed with the alleged scandal around "Russian spies" who are supposed to have planned to kill some Czech politicians with ricin. The discussions of this topic are on the level of conspiracy theories. Due to the obsession of the Czech media with Russia and China, real problems such as drought, debt slavery of ten per cent of the Czech population due to the activities of parasitical private baliffs or no support for disabled people are not being dealt with by the media. The Czech mainstream media still admire the United States and the UK. They have not understood that these countries are now governed by similar maniacs with dictatorial tendencies as are those who rule Russia and China. These topics are being discussed by Jan Čulík and Daniel Veselý in this Britské listy interview, which was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from Friday 22nd May, 2020.
