Abstract

The modelling of cavities loaded with dielectric resonators has been attempted using the finite integral technique, a finite difference method based upon a numerical solution of Maxwell's equations in integral form. The finite integral technique is inherently free from the nonphysical spurious solutions, and through the use of a dual grid the boundary conditions at dielectric interfaces are met automatically.
