Abstract

Will the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the Czech Republic mean that Czech theatres, Czech galleries, Czech culture will end? And what will happen with the victims of private bailiffs who are in debt slavery in the Czech Republic? What will be the fate of poor people, self-employed people and people on zero hour contracts? Jan Čulík discusses the profound political, social and cultural imnpact of the coronavirus crisis, which may last a year, maybe longer, with political scientist Professor Jiří Pehe, Head of the Prague branch of New York University. The interview was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from Wendesday 25th March 2020.
