Abstract
Electron-positron annihilation data collected by the BABAR detector near the Υ(4S) resonanceare used to study the inclusive decay of B mesons to D±sand D∗±smesons, where the D±sisreconstructed using the decay D±s→φπ±. The production fraction of inclusive D(∗)±sand thecorresponding momentum spectra have been determined. The exclusive decays B0→D∗−D(∗)+sare observed with a partial reconstruction technique which uses the soft pion from the D∗± decayin association with the reconstructed D(∗)±s. The beam energy constraint is used to determine themissing mass recoiling against the D±ssystem, showing a clear signal for this process. From theobserved rates, preliminary results for the corresponding branching fractions have been obtained
