Abstract

Several new results in the field of Charm physics are reported using data from the ARGUS detector at the e+ e- storage ring DORIS II at DESY. Parity violation has been measured in the decay A"j; --+ A11"± and a value for the asymmetry parameter o.A, = - 0.96 ± 0.42 is obtained. The decays D+(a)-K- K11"+11"+ have been observed, and are found to proceed largely via an intermediate k•° K*+ state. Semileptonic decays of charmed mesons have also been investigated through 4>¬ and K*0- electron correlations. The latter is used to derive a branching ratio for D; ¢71"- of (2.4 ± 1 .0)3.
