Abstract

After Theresa May's fiasco in Salzburg, Rádio Slovensko (Radio Slovakia), the Slovak public service radio, broadcast this 30 minute interview with Jan Čulík and Radovan Geist of the euroactiv.sk server about the current dead end in the progress of Brexit. Jan Čulík explains that English voters in particular are suffering from a mendacious discourse about Brexit, which has prevailed in most of the English media (the situation in Scotland and Norther Ireland is different). England is suffering from its delusions of grandeur, is dreaming about a "golden British Empire past" and is unaware that it is hurtling towards an economic and political catastrophe. The interview was broadcast on Rádio Slovensko on Monday 24th September 2018 from 12.30 pm.
